Upcoming developments for California conservatorship law

Linda S. Durston, as a member of the California State Bar Trusts & Estates Executive Committee is working with the Committee to develop guidelines for incorporating the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act (UAGPPJA) into the California Probate Code.  This act, once instituted, will greatly facilitate the transfer of adult guardianships (“conservatorships” in California) from one state to another and even in and out of the country.
